Standing Sun Salutations

Sun salutations, combining strength and stretch together, are great for creating heat and energizing the body. However, full sun salutations aren’t always ideal for everyone, because they require the ability to do inversions, to support your body weight on your hands, and to get on and off the floor rather efficiently. They can also be a bit daunting to new yogis. A standing flow can still provide many of the same benefits to a standard sun salutation while being more accessible.

Note: Standing Sun Salutation #3 does have an inversion in the flow, in the form of a wide-leg standing forward bend.
